How Does the Heybike Horizon Make Riding Comfortable?

Featuring a full-suspension system, the Heybike Horizon provides a comfortable ride on varied terrain. It has two separate suspension systems.

The front hydraulic fork helps absorb harsh impact at the front, thus increasing comfort at the handlebars. The hydraulic fork has 80mm of travel and can be adjusted to optimize responsiveness and comfort.

Also, there is the rear horst-link suspension system. It provides superior rear shock absorption, maintaining comfort in the saddle and improving traction on slippery surfaces.

How Can Horizon Make My Rides Safer?

Safety lies at the heart of the Heybike Horizon Ebike’s design. The hydraulic disc brakes deliver precise and reliable stopping power, letting you avoid obstacles and maintain control during your rides.

Bicycle lights are another key safety feature. The Horizon has front and rear LED lights. The front headlight illuminates automatically, adapting to your surroundings based on how dark or light it is.

The integrated taillight has a brake light and turn signals. To control the turn signals, use the display screen.

How Fast Can the Horizon Go?

Powered by a 750w direct drive hub motor, the Heybike Horizon has a peak output of 1400w and 80Nm of torque.

These components enable it to reach a max speed of 28 mph, which is ideal for ascending steep hills and overcoming unpredictable terrain. Also, the 80Nm of torque assists with acceleration, making it easy to launch from a standstill and maintain speed.

How to Adjust Each Pedal Assist (PAS) Level Top Speed on the Horizon?

The Horizon has 5 PAS levels, ranging from 0 to 5. Level 0 provides no pedal assist, and level 5 provides the highest pedal assist. You can adjust the top speed of each PAS level.

There are 2 ways to do this: through the display screen on the handlebars and the Heybike app.

To customize your riding experience in the Heybike app, go to the Personalization menu. In this menu, you can adjust the max speed limit of each PAS level. Plus, you can change the speed unit (km/h or mph) and the throttle speed limit.

What is the Range of the Heybike Horizon?

With a 692Wh battery capacity, the Heybike Horizon can travel 55 miles on a single charge. The pure electric mode (throttle) can travel 30 miles on a single charge.

Also, the battery is removable. You can recharge it separately from the Ebike itself. This makes it easier to recharge in crowded public spaces, including restaurants and cafes. In such spaces, it may be difficult to place your Ebike next to a power source.

How Does the Horizon Handle on Different Terrain?

The Heybike Horizon has 24x4” fat tires, which allows it to ride on various terrain, including dirt, sand, and even snow.

The deep tread pattern cuts through surface particles, providing traction on rough surfaces. It also prevents aquaplaning on wet surfaces, reducing the risk of accidentally slipping.

Also, since the tires are extra wide, they maintain more contact with the ground. This helps you remain balanced, especially when turning corners. Plus, fat tires are less likely to puncture.

Can I Transport the Horizon in a Car Trunk?

Since the Horizon has a folding design, you can fold the frame in half. When folded, you can store the bike in compact spaces like offices, apartments, and car trunks.

Whether the bike will fit in your car trunk depends on its dimensions. For reference, the dimensions for the Horizon (in the folding position) are 49.2 x 23.6 x 31.5 inches. Compare these dimensions to those of your car trunk.

Is the Horizon Waterproof?

The great news is that you can ride most electric bikes in the rain. In fact, every Ebike in the Heybike range is water resistant. The whole bike meets IPX4 standards, while the motor, battery, and display meet IP64 standards.

However, it is worth noting the Horizon is not waterproof. There are some vital precautions to follow, too.

After riding in the rain, dry your Ebike thoroughly and perform regular maintenance to keep it in optimal condition. Also, avoid submerging the motor and battery in water. These components are water sensitive and expensive to replace.

What is the Maximum Load Capacity of the Horizon?

With a maximum load capacity of 330 lbs, you can transport various accessories in one trip. This includes work or school supplies, groceries, and fishing, hunting, or camping equipment. This weight capacity also factors in rider weight.
