Through our design contest for Hero, Michael's vision for a special edition Ebike, the "Hero Ebike (Brodie's version)," came to life. This extraordinary Ebike serves as a beautiful memorial to Brodie, allowing Michael to continue honoring his furry friend's memory while embracing the joy of cycling.

The Designer and His Lovely Dog

Michael Daniels, a talented graphic designer, has always been a cycling enthusiast. His love for the open road led him to discover the world of electric bikes, and the Heybike Ranger quickly became his first go-to mode of transportation. With its powerful motor and sleek design, the Ranger offered Michael a new way to explore his surroundings and experience cycling fun.

But it was the arrival of Brodie, a West Highland Terrier, that truly transformed Michael's life. Brodie wasn't just a pet; he was a loyal companion and a source of endless joy. The duo shared countless adventures together, like leisurely walks in the park or exciting outdoor excursions. Brodie's playful spirit and unwavering love brought a sense of warmth and happiness to Michael's life.

From unwrapping gifts with gusto to exploring new places, Brodie’s made every day unforgettable. For 15 cherished years, Michael and Brodie shared a bond filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, shaping a story of companionship like no other.

Commemorate the Sorrowful Loss

When Brodie passed away because of a serious allergy, Michael felt an immense void in his life. Struggling to cope with the loss of his beloved family, he turned to his sketchpad every morning. Drawing Brodie became his way of reconnecting, preserving the memories, and honoring their unbreakable bond.

Each stroke of the pencil brought Brodie closer, etching his mischievous grin and playful spirit into Michael’s heart. With tears in his eyes, Michael said, “The sketches become moments of solace — a quiet time to relive our adventures and ensure my little Brodie’s image would never fade from memory”.

Occasional Encounter with the Design Contest

Inspired by the vibrant community of Heybike enthusiasts, Michael joined our Facebook group to connect with fellow riders and share his passion. It was here that he learned about our design contest for the Hero Ebike. Seizing the opportunity to express his creativity, Michael submitted several design concepts, each one reflecting his unique vision.

Among his submissions, one design held a special place in his heart: a tribute to his dear Brodie. This design incorporated elements that captured Brodie's spirit. Michael poured his heart and soul into this design, hoping to honor his furry friend in a meaningful way.

Another WAVE design ultimately won the contest, for it catered to more people and it was easier for mass production. However, our Heybike team was deeply moved by Michael's heartfelt story. We recognized the unique bond between Michael and Brodie and decided to create a special edition Hero Ebike as a tribute to their friendship. We wanted to help Michael honor Brodie's memory and also strengthen the connection between Heybike and our passionate community.

Michael never imagined his Brodie-inspired design would become a reality. When we reached out to create the special Hero Ebike, he was overwhelmed with excitement. It was a dream come true, a tangible connection to the memory of his beloved family.

Bringing the design to life was a joyful collaboration. Incorporating Brodie’s paw print, logo, and favorite baby blue details made the bike uniquely personal. For Michael, every feature was a tribute to their bond. His grief turned into a celebration of their shared journey with warmth and love.

Riding the Hero Ebike (Brodie’s Version) gave Michael a newfound sense of happiness and peace. With every ride, he felt Brodie’s presence alongside him. The "Brodie Bike" is more than just a bike. It is a story of love, loss, and celebrating the purest bond between humans and other creatures.
